Beyond passwords and 2FA, accounts often come with other secrets worth keeping safe. Multifactor stores these too, each on the relevant account.
Security questions
Save a question and its secret answer for account recovery or extra verification.
Open an account, click Add credential, and choose Security Question.
Enter the question (for example, "What was the name of your first pet?").
Enter the answer.
The question shows in plain text; the answer is hidden until you reveal it, with a copy button alongside.
Tip: You don't have to answer truthfully — a random, made-up answer stored here is safer than a guessable real one.
Recovery codes
Many services give you a batch of one-time backup codes when you turn on 2FA. Save them so you're never locked out.
Click Add credential and choose Recovery Code.
Paste the codes, one per line.
The codes stay hidden as a grid until you choose to view them.
API keys
Store API keys for the services and tools you build with.
Click Add credential and choose API Key.
Paste the full key.
Multifactor recognizes common key formats and shows the non-secret prefix (for example, sk_proj_…) with the rest masked. Reveal or copy it whenever you need it.
